Neck Rotation


FOCUS

Observe your breath


BENEFITS

  • Improves blood circulation in the neck and brain.

  • Releases strain and muscle tension in the neck which is usually accumulated after sitting for long hours.


SAFETY MEASURES

  • Keep your eyes open throughout.

  • Be gentle and avoid jerky movements.

  • Avoid holding your breath at any given point.


METHOD

  • **Sit in Yogame posture.

  1. Gently turn the head downward, to the right, backward, then on the left side in a relaxed, smooth, circular manner and bring it back to the centre (clockwise).

  • Gently turn the head downward, to the left, backward, then on the right side in a relaxed, smooth, circular manner and bring it back to the centre (anticlockwise).

  • This is 1 set.


DURATION

  • Practice 2-3 times as a set.

  • When your head moves up – Inhale.

  • When your head moves down/sideways – Exhale.
